History

YogiSoap is a provider of handcrafted bath and body care designed specifically for yogis, yoginis and the yoga industry.  YogiSoap was founded in 2002 with the idea of creating products with the yoga student and yoga industry in mind. Now whether you are a yoga student, a yoga teacher or a yoga studio owner, we are all yogis looking to improve our minds, our bodies and our spirit through yoga and a regular yoga practice.  So why YogiSoap?  Because the largest organ of the human body is our skin and up to 75 – 80% of what we put on our bodies can be absorbed into the skin.  With the constant showering after yoga, YogiSoap was created with the understanding that yogis need body care products gentle enough to be used on a daily basis, without over-drying the skin. At YogiSoap we aim to make high-quality, hand crafted body care products that clean and moisturize and can be used as part of a regular yoga practice.  We understand that yogis shower once or sometimes up to several times a day. With that in mind and drawing on the parallels between aromatherapy and the benefits of various yoga postures, YogiSoap offers products that are great for your body and products that can be used several times a day if needed.

YogiSoap is a handcrafted bath and body care manufacturer with products that are designed to enrich your yoga practice and your yoga lifestyle.  Our product line includes liquid soaps, bar soaps, lotions, salts and scrubs, and neti pot salts.  The YogiSoap product line is available for purchase online and through various yoga studios and other health-minded distributors.

Our Objective

YogiSoap is striving to be a 100% Organic company and a company that is good for our planet.  Our objective is to produce and market the brand YogiSoap to yoga studios, health minded businesses and people all throughout the United Sates, Canada and international yoga markets.  Our objective is also to expand the line of products that YogiSoap offers to include such items as shampoo, conditioner and other products that are relevant to our industry.  Yogisoap is committed to being a company that uses only organic and natural ingredients.  We believe in recycling and sustainability.  We are striving to leave as little a footprint on our planet as possible.  We do that by reusing and recycling boxes and packaging materials that our raw ingredients are sent to us in, which is good for our planet.  We also strive to use only Organic plant based ingredients in our products.

About YogiSoap Owner, Bill Camping

I have always been an active person. I was awarded a golf scholarship to Northwestern State University and played professional golf for six years. With a degree in Business, I then went on to run the Colorado branch of my family business for ten years.  I had suffered a serious back injury in 1997 and was feeling the effects that years of hard athletics had taken on my body. I needed to make some major changes in my life. I started practicing Bikram yoga  in 2008 and immediately noticed a difference in my body and energy level.  I had been struggling with lower back problems all my life and found that yoga helped me a lot.

In 2009, I was introduced to YogiSoap products as another tool to use in my yoga practice.  I was very impressed with the products and the product line and wanted to get involved with YogiSoap as I felt all yogis and yoginis could benefit from these products.  In October 2009, I got involved in the YogiSoap business and am now the owner.  I really enjoy spending my time making hand crafted bath and body care products that can benefit all yogis and all people.

Here are a few things about myself.  As I am on a mission to heal my back, I really felt that these Organic and Natural products could continue to help me heal and detoxify my body.  I have had 5 back surgeries including 2 back fusion surgeries and honestly I wish I would have found yoga before I had that first back surgery.  But I will say that with the help of yoga, I feel my back and body are improving and God willing and with the help of my yoga, I will never have to have another back surgery in my life.  I have also completed five 70.2 half Ironman triathlons, run two marathons and as a golfer finished second in the 1995 US Amatuer Public Links Championship, but it is now my yoga that sustains my physical body, especially after all the back surgeries. I have practiced Bikram, Iyengar and Sumits yoga, practicing in different states and even Australia. I must say that all yoga is good yoga. Being a tall guy at 6’3″, yoga has dramatically improved my physical well being. I have better posture, more energy, and basically all areas of my life have improved.

While YogiSoap is designed with the yogi and yogini in mind, all ages and fitness levels can benefit from the organic and essential oils and their subsequent benefits to your body.  YogiSoap might not improve your standing bow pulling pose or camel pose (I’m still working on that formula!) but it will compliment your yoga practice and an active lifestyle.  I know I’ll be practicing yoga for the rest of my life.
